These terms govern the use of the Riskelo app (“the app”), published by Robert Oulhen, an independent developer (“the publisher”). Downloading or using the app means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install the app, or delete it.

1. Purpose

Riskelo is a turn-based conquest game in which the outcome of combat is decided by trivia questions. It is played alone against the computer, several around one device, or across several linked devices.

The app is provided as is, with no user account, no advertising and no subscription. It requires no internet connection.

Optional question packs are bought once and for all. The purchase goes through the App Store, which alone receives the payment and alone handles refunds.

2. Licence

The publisher grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store's usage rules.

Unless otherwise stated by the publisher, the app is governed by Apple's standard end-user licence agreement, which these terms supplement. Where the two conflict, whichever is more protective of the user prevails.

You may not decompile, disassemble or modify the app, resell it, rent it, redistribute it, or extract all or part of its question bank for republication.

3. Intellectual property

The app, its source code, its rules of play, its boards, its artwork, its icon and its question banks are the work of the publisher and are protected by copyright. © 2026 Robert Oulhen. All rights reserved.

4. Trademarks and independence

Apple, iPhone, iPad, Mac, App Store and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the United States and other countries. Riskelo is not affiliated with Apple Inc. other than as an app distributed on the App Store.

5. The content of the questions

The questions have been written and proofread with care, and automated checks verify their form with every version. Even so, an error of fact or an ambiguous wording remains possible, and some answers may change over time (sporting records, discoveries, political decisions).

The questions are meant for entertainment and are in no way a reference source. Any error reported to bob.oulhen@gmail.com will be corrected in a later version.

6. Playing across several devices

Playing across several devices uses the device's local links (Bluetooth, direct Wi-Fi). Whether it works depends on hardware, settings and system permissions beyond the publisher's control; no guarantee of availability or of link quality can therefore be given. It is up to you to open a table only in the presence of people you wish to play with.

7. No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, in particular as to its fitness for a particular purpose or its uninterrupted and error-free operation.

This clause does not affect the mandatory statutory guarantees that consumers enjoy, in particular the legal guarantee of conformity under articles L. 217-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code and the guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code, nor any equivalent rights under the law of your own country.

8. Liability

The publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of, or the inability to use, the app, in particular the loss of a saved game. Games are kept on your device alone: keeping them depends on your own backups.

Nothing in these terms limits the publisher's liability in the event of gross negligence, wilful misconduct or personal injury.

9. Updates and availability

The publisher may release updates correcting errors, adding questions or changing the balance of the game. He may also stop distributing the app; copies already installed then keep working for as long as the operating system allows.

An installed version may stop being compatible with a new version of iOS or macOS. Version 1.0 requires iOS 17 or macOS 14 at least.

10. Personal data

The app collects no personal data. See the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be changed, in particular to take account of a change in the app or in the law. The version in force is the one published on this page, whose update date appears at the top.

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first, by a message to bob.oulhen@gmail.com. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory consumer protection rules that allow consumers to bring proceedings before the courts of their own domicile.

Under article 14 of Regulation (EU) No 524/2013, the European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
